Weekly

  1. Inspect all water taps, shower heads and toilets for leakage/continues running including leakage on tap handles.

 

Monthly

  1. Inspect all general plumbing drains, including sinks, for speed of drainage.
  2. Inspect building components for leakage (signs) including walls, roof etc..
  3. Inspect chemical dosing system (e.g. tanks, hoses, pipes, valves).
  4. Inspect exposed pipes for leakage and corrosion.
  5. Inspect areas of risk for microbial development e.g. legionnaire disease (e.g. cooling towers, evaporative condensers, hot/cold water systems, humidifiers).

 

Quarterly

  1. Inspect areas with standing water (i.e. check reason of non-drainage).
  2. Inspect water leak detection equipment (e.g. verify cable run, calibrate distance indicator, verify alarm contact).
  3. Inspect and test backflow protection devices.

 

Yearly

  1. Inspect and test pressure vessels/containers.
