Data center operations includes all aspects of managing facilities equipment and systems to ensure that the right capacity and redundancy is available at efficiency levels appropriate to the business. This might also include the ICT equipment moves, additions, changes and decommissioning within the computer room as well as all supporting processes, if this is within the scope of services delivered by the data center operations team. For the intent and purpose of this standard, the terms have been aligned with widely adopted terminology in the industry.
