Due to the constant changes of technology, standards and design methodologies, certified candidates are expected by the industry to have kept up-to-date with these changes and are therefore required to upgrade and validate themselves on an on-going basis.

All EPI Certifications have therefore a 3-year validity with the exception of CTDC/CTIA*. The following options are available for recertification;

1. Advancing to the next level of certification (applicable for CDCP/CDCS/CDCE only), by attending the next level course and passing the exam.
    
2. Recertify the same level certification by:

• Resitting the course and exam (ILT, VILT or TOD) at 50% discount on the course fees (exam fee is excluded from discount)
• Self-study with the Recertification Package which includes ebook(s) and exam(s)

* CTDC/CTIA certifications are linked to the respective version of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard.  Therefore when a new version of the ANSI/TIA-942 becomes available, CTDC/CTIA would be required to update their certifications to the new version to keep updated.
